It has been a windy and rainy week here in central Oklahoma. We had a strong wind storm called a derecho that knocked over a lot of plants. There were a lot of tree branches and a few trees down as well. One tree at the farm narrowly missed the power line when it fell. Many of my flowers have broken stems but I think most will recover. The rain was much needed and kept it a bit cooler this week. I saw a new moth this week called the grape leaffolder moth. The larvae of this moth eats grape leaves. I didn’t go to the farm this week but my boyfriend went to check on the cat after the storm. I did some work for him and he gave me some money for plants. The job was large so he gave me more money than usual. I bought nine plants for 100 dollars which is a good deal. I took a photo of all of my plant labels, except for winter savory.I am not sure when I can go to the farm to plant the new plants. I have been drawing flowers recently and 🌺 this week I drew a hibiscus. Sometimes I like to call them hot biscuits. I’m planning to visit my family next Saturday on the 4th of July. I’m really looking forward to seeing them. I will also bake some chocolate chip cookies to take with me. Next week is expected to be very hot and sunny. 😎 I am going to try to do more drawings for my family members next week.
