It has been another beautiful week in central Oklahoma. The weather has been lovely here and it makes me want to be outside. I went to the farm on Saturday and I transplanted about 30 bearded irises from an overgrown patch. It is a bit late in the season for transplanting them but it has been so warm here that I think they might have a chance. The garden is coming back to life in the cool weather and some things that I had taken for dead, were in fact, not dead. The goji berry and the two new grape trees have returned to life. My boyfriend used the tree branches from the tree that fell to make a cattle guard. My cat is out of the hospital and she is doing great. We saw some quail at the farm this week and they were adorable. I also saw an interesting iridescent cuckoo wasp. I planted the pansies and violas on Saturday since the grasshoppers are almost done We have rented a storage unit and we have already started putting boxes in it. I have not had much time for drawing this week because of all the packing. Happy Halloween! π
