It’s been yet another hot and dry weather week for central Oklahoma. There is rain in the forecast this week so I am hoping that brings cooler temperatures. I saw a really magnificent cloud this week on the drive home from the farm. I learned that this is called a cumulus congestus cloud. All of the grasses I planted last week have survived, although the switchgrass looks a bit rough. The lantana, mist flower, scarlet sage, sunflower, morning glories, and Turk`s cap are all still blooming in the heat. My phone has been overheating frequently in the hot weather so I got a small cooling fan for it. We still have not planted the mimosa tree yet and will probably wait for one more week to see if it cools down. The American hog peanut returned and I pulled up a bunch of it. I saw an Eastern cottontail rabbit at the farm this week but it was too fast for a photo. There are still way more grasshoppers than I would prefer. I have had a busy start of the month at work but I always find time to draw. I have been watching a livestream on YouTube with skunks recently. This inspired me to sketch some skunks this week. They are adorable but challenging to draw because of the black color. I love a challenge and want to draw more. Team Rocket is blasting off again. 🚀
