I call them snow birds but actually they are dark eyed junco birds. I find them adorable and like to take photos of them. I am from Texas originally and I never saw the snow birds there. However, since moving to Oklahoma, I often see them when the weather is snowy or icy. This week has been icy but not snowy. I wasn’t able to get out to the farm this week but of course have continued my garden planning. I have begun reading a new book on organic gardening as well. I have drawn a picture for my mom this week and I am mailing it to her since I can’t go in person yet to visit. I have gotten a few new bulbs to try from the Dollar Tree, including freesia, anemone, and triteleia. I will finally be beginning my pepper and tomato seeds inside tomorrow. I’m soaking the peppers seeds now. I will also be starting some purple tomatillo as well. I think these will make a great salsa with the cilantro and bunching onions I hope to grow. I am growing a few kinds of peppers, including Serrano, cayenne, and big Jim. I am growing two types of tomatoes, a big one called Walter tomatoes and small cherry tomatoes called super sweet 100. I will be going to the farm on Saturday and hope to do some more planting and work on building trellises. I hope the weather will warm up considerably before then. My hellebores aren’t looking so hot after the ice storm but I have hope they may recover. Perhaps I should have brought them in before the ice storm. They are perennials to my area so I thought they’d handle the cold temperatures well. However, they are just baby plants so maybe they are not able to handle it yet. Only time will tell. Live and learn. My boyfriend gave me a new electric kettle for making tea for a Valentine’s gift. It is the one from Tyler Swoden and I really like it a lot. It isn’t machine washable, though. Happy Valentine’s Day! (๑♡⌓♡๑)(•ө•)♡ (灬º‿º灬)♡ ( ˘ ³˘)♥ (*˘︶˘*).。*♡(๑˙❥˙๑)
