Introduction

Hello, I’m Lisa. Thanks for checking out my blog. I thought I would say a little bit about who I am and what I will discuss in my blog. I’m an online ESL teacher living in Oklahoma. I’m moving to the country after living in the city for 40 years. I am starting to learn to garden and run a farm. There is a photo of my future home below. I am writing to record what I planted each season and how successful it was in zone 7b. I hope some of this information could be useful to others in the area as well. I am also very interested in cooking, baking, and preservation of food. I might give my opinions about recipes I have tried out. I am also an artist and will discuss various art related topics here. I will share my experiences using different supplies and my art progress. I am interested in drawing, painting, sewing, crochet, knitting, making jewelry and music. I will review patterns I try and talk about music I enjoy. I usually make gifts for my family for holidays and birthdays so I will discuss what I make. I hope this blog can help me keep track of my creative projects and inspire others to create. I am interested in yoga, hiking, and travel so these will also be topics I may discuss in the future. I have a BA in English and MS in Neuroscience so these subjects are also of interest to me. I may discuss my experience with teaching online here also. Because I am moving to a remote area, I have developed an interest in astronomy and hope to purchase a telescope. I am interested in photography and love to take photos to draw. I might share some photos here for other artists to use. I am interested in animals, insects, and plants and might talk about them individually. I also plan to discuss my opinions on controversial topics such as politics, religion, and AI. I will try to discuss these topics in a respectful way. I love to read and might talk about books I have read and enjoyed. As I will be living in an isolated area, I hope to connect with others online with similar interests. All comments and subscribers welcome but please try to be kind. The blog may be random and discuss any topic but will be posted weekly.
